St Peter’s is a beautiful church for special services to celebrate those key events in life.

The light over the altar is kept lit to remind us the Jesus is the light of the world, and of his love, hope and peace.

Baptism is at the heart of Christian life. If old enough, the person being baptised declares their faith and promises to serve Jesus all their life. For a baby or child, the parents and Godparents make these declarations on the child’s behalf. Alternatively a Thanksgiving can be held for infants, seeking God’s blessing until the child is old enough to make their own decision about whether they wish to be baptised.

St Peter’s is a popular venue for weddings. We try our best to make the service a real celebration of your love for each other and of God’s love for you.

We make every effort to be available to conduct funerals for parishioners either at the church or at one of the local crematoria. Your Funeral Director will normally contact us, but families may approach us direct if you have particular questions or would like to make any special arrangements for your loved one.
