Children and Families
We Welcome Families
St. Peter's Church
All members of the family are welcome and important in our church.
Family friendly Sunday worship
Our traditional and informal Sunday services are both family friendly, with ‘children’s church’ at most of our 9:30am services, and activities for children at our 11am service.
Pram Service
An informal service for those with pre-school children and babies. Parents, grand-parents and carers all welcome. Singing, stories, prayers, socialising, play, refreshments. Tuesdays, 10:15am in term-time.
FISH Club (Faith In Small Hearts)
An after-school club for primary school-age children. Music, singing, stories, games and crafts. Thursdays, 4:00pm in term-time in church.
CHYL (Christ’s Hope 4 Young Lives)
Fun activities for young people aged 12-14. Music, drama, games, quizzes, chat. Monthly on Mondays, 7:30-9:00pm in the Village Hall.
Decorations
St. Peter's Church
There are always crafts on display, created by the chidren during their activity sessions. They are enjoyed and appreciated by everyone.
CHYLAX
Like CHYL but aimed at 10-12 year olds who want to ‘chill out and relax’ whilst exploring their faith. Monthly on Tuesdays 7:15-8:45pm at St Mark’s Church Hall, Anlaby Common.
Music and singing
Music and singing are at the heart of much of our worship at St Peter’s. Our worship band, ’The Keys’, and our robed choir always welcome new members.
